Job Description
As a loan officer, you are in essence selling the dream of homeownership! Though your days are full, a strong work-life balance is the norm. On a typical day, you may be:
Working with prospective homebuyers on their mortgage options
Meeting with realtor referral partners
Managing files from borrowers
Talking with internal staff regarding the status of loans
Following up with past customers to see how they are doing
Compensation
As with most positions in sales, where the income potential is best, compensation is built on commissions. However, in our sales training program we'll start you with a conservative base salary plus commission during your first six months, requiring you to meet certain fundamental sales metrics. With the right attitude, commitment, and effort, you will be well on your way to earning six figures during your first 12 months. Quite honestly if you don't earn at least that much your 1st year, we will be very disappointed and you should be, too.
Qualifications
We are looking to train new home loan officers, and for that reason, no background in finance, real estate, or the loan industry is required. A sales background is preferred, but if you’re fresh out of school or another career, we’re looking for people who understand and have the skills to manage your time, talk to people, develop lasting relationships, and work hard.
